Screenplay's Jason Hill caught up with Andrew Goulding from the Melbourne indie developer, Brawsome, at the Game Developer's Conference held at San Francisco just last week.
Andrew, who is at the GDC to talk to as many distributors as possible for his new game, Jolly Rover, discusses the latest on his journey as an independent game developer, as well as his new point-and-click graphic adventure game.
It looks like Andrew has hit a bit of a set-back as a publisher has dropped the second title that he was developing, but Andrew plans to do some contract work to help weather out the financial void that something like that causes, so here's hoping he pulls through fine...
(Andrew) The plus side is Jolly Rover is coming out sooner, and I get to work on it full-time, the downside is I can barely afford it. In hindsight I left my studio exposed to this risk by jumping at the chance to potentially have two original IP's under my belt this year, but the bottom line is I got greedy.
