Nocturnal Entertainment Australia has announced the release of Catapult v1.32b, the latest version of their development system for the GameBoy Advance.
Catapult currently supports all Windows platforms, with a Linux version being worked on. It includes a editor, emulator, debugger, integrated toolset, and uses a custom language designed around the GBA hardware. Catapult comes with an extensive integrated users guide, and eleven tutorials for beginners.
Catapult v1.32b has the following new features:
- Font generation tools, and support for multi-tiled fonts
- Load/save support through SRAM emulation
- Significant speed optimisations
- New fully integrated HTML Help user guide
- New script browsing system
- New debugging commands and tools
..more than 200 improvements over the previous release!
An evaluation version of Catapult can be downloaded free from Nocturnal's web site, and includes playable demos with complete source code. The Spanish version of Catapult will be released around the start of 2004, with Italian, German and French versions in development.
