Melbourne developer, Firemint, have secured their spot as a leading mobile developer by nabbing yet another prestigious award. This time, they're the recipient of the "Excellence in Connectivity" award for their upcoming racing game Firemint Real Racing at the International Mobile Gaming Awards at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The connected features in Firemint Real Racing include video replay uploads to YouTube, and a dedicated web site with best times for each driver...
"I'm absolutely thrilled and excited that Firemint Real Racing has been honored with this coveted award, it's a credit to the team and the fantastic effort they are putting in. We set out to make the best pro racing game on iPhone, and this award proves that we're on the right track! I'm looking forward to revealing more features soon." said Robert Murray, CEO of Firemint.
"We've put a lot of effort into the connected functionality in this game" said Kynan Woodman, Development Director at Firemint. "The YouTube uploads are just one particular feature, but there is more to show yet. Our connected features will deliver what we believe to be the most compelling racing experience on a handheld device."
This is a hattrick for Firemint who also took out the Excellence in 3D Award for "Mega Monsters" in 2007, and the People's Choice Award for "FIA World Rally Championship" last year, at the International Mobile Gaming Awards.
