This year’s Wii Challenge is set to be just as entertaining as the last; only in 2008 new Wii innovations will be put to play alongside commercial games. So put your Wii caps on and get ready to have some fun on the BIG big screen, in conjunction with BODY+.
Casual Game-making - Wed 2 April, 5-6pm @ The Glasshouse, CIP (Musk Av) KG
John Passfield is a veteran of the computer games industry with more than 20 years professional experience as a games designer and lead programmer and is current creative director of Pandemic Studios. Join John as he discusses the nature of developing and publishing independent and ‘casual’ games and the latest crazes to hit the ‘casual’ game market.
Game On Goes Workshop: Photoshop digital painting - Wed 7 May, 5-7pm
In preparation for a landscape concept art competition to be held from early May, concept artist for Fuzzyeyes Studio, Alex Drummond, will lead a 2-hour workshop demonstrating the job of a concept artist, allowing participants the chance to develop a game world landscape.
Game On Goes Virtual: Landscape Concept Art Competition - Launches 7 May
This is an invite to all game enthusiasts to visualise and present a game world landscape in the medium of your choice. Entries are to be uploaded onto a host website and will be critiqued by a panel of judges, at the end of which a finalist will be announced and a prize given on Wednesday August 6.
