I've noticed that the GDAA website has been updated with loads of information on the contingent of local developers heading off to E3 3006, which can you believe is only a month away....
"More than 30 games studios and support companies will be attending this year's E3 Games Expo and Conference. E3 2006 will be held at the Los Angeles Conference Centre from March 10 - 12. Visit the E3 Australia 2006 website for more details about the Australian contingent to E3 2006."
Also available at the site is a very informative Games Australia E3 2006 booklet in PDF format which is very much worth a download, so check it out!
Also worth a mention is the small snippet of text at the GDAA website about the new conference to be held later this year...
"Game Connect: Asia Pacific
The GDAA will host the major industry conference in late 2006. Watch this space for more details."
So yes, the conference name suggests that a much wider audience is targetted than the previous AGDC conferences, and I think it's a pretty good idea to cater to industries in the entire asia pacific area since a lot of interest and activity in game development is growing in countries like Singapore...
