Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja surpasses 2 million sales

Noah Kravitz from Phonedog.com cornered Halfbrick Studios CEO, Shaniel Deo, for a brief Q&A during an exhibition at the Appnation "show me the money" conference held at San Francisco held for the last two days. During the interview, the Halfbrick CEO revealed some rough sales numbers for Fruit Ninja, their popular appstore game for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, as well as showcased the new upcoming mode for the game.

The sales for Fruit Ninja has crossed the 2 million mark on the iPhone, and roughly 100,000 sales on the iPad. It's fast catching up to Australia's other successful Appstore game, Flight Control by Firemint, which reached 3 million sales two weeks ago.

In the video, Shaniel shows off his Fruit Ninja skills in the new Arcade game mode for Fruit Ninja while explaining the additional power ups that will slow down gameplay, throw a whole lot more fruit, or provide extra bonus scoring options. The new game mode will be coming out in an update sometime in October on all platform systems that Fruit Ninja is on, including the Android. The Android version of Fruit Ninja is coming out on the 15th of September, today.
