IGN has a hands on preview of Atari Melbourne House's Transformers: Aramada game on the PS2. It's an early build of the game (slated at around 30-40% complete) so it's hardly surprising that they find a few niggles about it - the lack of interesting mission objectives being one...
"Problems aside, Transformers Armada: Prelude to Energon still has quite a lot going for it -- and we didn't even begin to talk about its widescreen television support, Dolby Pro Logic II audio encoding, and its vault of unlockable extras. But as long as Melbourne House and Atari stay focused on improving the game's technical shortcomings and perhaps double the number of enemies and their variety in each stage, we could be in store for quite the enjoyable actioner. There are some new screenshots of the game as well, so head on over there and check it out.
