"Zeno Colaco, vice president of publisher and developer relations for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, attended the conference for the first time this year.Mr Colaco... said Australia was the fourth most important development centre for SCEE, after the UK, France and Scandinavia.
"We recognise the Australian development community as having a footprint in the global development community," Mr Colaco said. "You're on the cusp of moving from a technologically based community to move to a bigger commercial footprint and presence of the global stage."
Mr Colaco, who organised Sony's part in the Victorian Government's donation of PS2 development kits to selected games companies, said Australia had an opportunity to lead in online games development because of our technical expertise."
