TeamXbox.com has a lengthy 4 page interview with Pandemic Studio's Brad Welch, Director of Destroy All Humans!

"The first thing we have to ask is how did the original idea of playing on the aliens? side come about?

Brad Welch: We originally wanted to create a game that differed from the norm, and we started with the idea of a flying saucer coming to earth. When we had a prototype of that running we realized we really wanted to leave the spaceship and cause havoc on the ground. Nuking humanity from above seemed so... impersonal. This lead to us thinking about what kind of abilities an alien could have."
