Melbourne, Australia, 7 August 2006 - Dissecta presents 'Game Audio: Access All Areas', to be held 15th August at the Australian Games Innovation Centre (the Academy of Interactive Entertainment's Presentation Room), with Mick Gordon and Christopher Coe.
Mick Gordon of Lava Injection Studios in Brisbane provides a lengthy insight into core aspects of game audio from getting the soundtrack right for your game, to the merits of outsourcing versus keeping audio in-house.
The subject for this Dissecta event will be introduced by Christopher Coe, game designer and independent recording artist (under the name Digital Primate), who will provide an introduction to game audio focussing on the creative and experimental opportunities the video game format provides. Dissecta also has an exclusive pre-recorded interview with accomplished US based game composer/sound designer Tim Larkin, audio director for Cyan Worlds, for playback at the event.
Dissecta has two handouts for attendees, an exclusive Q&A article with Music4Games.Net's Greg O'Connor-Read on the current state of game soundtracks plus Lava Injection's latest demo music CD. And Dissecta also has two door prizes to giveaway on the night, the first prize consists of one Hitman: Blood Money Soundtrack CD signed by composer Jesper Kyd courtesy Jesper Kyd Productions and Music4Games.Net and a copy of Hitman: Blood Money for Xbox 360 courtesy Eidos and Atari Australia, and the second prize is one Hitman: Blood Money Soundtrack CD signed by composer Jesper Kyd again courtesy Jesper Kyd Productions and Music4Games.Net.
