The Ghost Master website reports the sad news that developer Sick Puppies has closed their doors. Why is this relevent news here? Well, I've been following Ghost Master ever since I found out that the person running the show at Sick Puppies is none other than Gregg Barnett. Gregg, as you might know, worked in the early days of the Australian game industry for Beam Software (now known as Atari Melbourne House). At Beam, he created some great game classics like The Way of the Exploding Fist (1985), and Fist 2 (1986). I did a small bit of hunting and managed to find out that he was still developing games, and was currently producer for Ghost Master. He was kind enough to squeaze in some interview answers for Sumea during a heavy development crunch period. Ghost Master had a pretty low profile release, but the reviews for it were actually quite good. Suprisingly, this didn't translate to sales, so it's unfortunate to hear that they're shutting down...
"We're sad to discover that Sick Puppies, the developers of the PC version of Ghost Master, have closed their doors. This is because the games publishers Empire Interactive didn't feel it had performed as well as it could have done."
