Zareh Nalbandian has been added as a keynote speaker to the Program for Game Connect: Asia Pacific, Australia's premier game development event.
Zareh is the co-founder and Managing Director of Animal Logic, one of the world's most highly regarded animation and visual effects studios. Animal Logic have recently announced a push into the video game space, and Zareh will share his perspectives both on the company's film pedigree (with titles such as the Academy Award winning Happy Feet), and on the rationale behind the move into games.
Also confirmed is Epic Games Vice President Jay Wilbur. Jay will talk about integrating middleware into the development process, sharing some insights from the developer of Unreal and Gears of War.
Other standout speakers in the program include Dan Scott, the Global Head of Production for Nokia N-Gage, who will give a presentation on touch functionality in mobile games. James Gwertzmann from PopCap, Mary-Beth Haggerty from Autodesk and Sebastien Schertenleib from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe are among the other speakers confirmed.
The conference will be closed with a rare live appearance from Yahtzee, who will give a presentation on game design.
