A recently announced worldwide Co-Publishing deal between Electronic Arts and Pandemic Studios has been signed for the latter-developed PS3 title: Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. The sequel to the popular PS2 Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction title made by Pandemic in 2005, will be looking at a 2007 release.
Pandemic Studios CEO, Andrew Goldman, had the following to say on the arrangement:
Pandemic Studios is excited to join forces with EA Partners to give Mercenaries 2: World in Flames a spectacular global launch. Mercenaries 2: World in Flames will set the bar for explosive, open world action games in the next generation, and everyone at Pandemic is excited that fans will be able to get their hands on it later this year.
Pandemic Studios have two development studios, one in Australia, and one in the United States. Other than the Mercenaries titles, they’re also the development team behind the popular Destroy All Humans series, with the most recently released Destroy All Humans 2 for the PS2.
