Qantm College Melbourne Campus Location Announced

Submitted by Bryn Giles

Qantm College has finalised the location for its new Melbourne Campus with building work starting immediately. The new campus in West Melbourne (11 ? 17 Jeffcott St) is just beside Flagstaff Gardens in the ?legal district? of the CBD so is easily accessible by public transport and close to a huge choice of food and retail outlets.

The building is an old light industrial building which was renovated into offices in the late 1980?s. Qantm?s builders are now transforming the open spaces into classrooms and student areas for classes to start in early 2007.

The first stage of the fit out is expected to be finished in mid November in time for the first CGC students to move in before the end of their year of study. The second stage will see the development of classrooms for the Qantm programs which are planned start in February 2007.

Qantm College?s degree programs have been design in conjunction with the industries they support so we have started discussions with Melbourne businesses to ensure the relevance of the programs in the Melbourne context.

This is exciting times for Qantm College with campuses in both Melbourne and Sydney being up and running before the end of the year and the winning of the Queensland Small Training Provider of the Year award at the recent Queensland Training Awards.

?The winning of the state award has given us the opportunity to run for the national award which is a fantastic launch to the new national profile we are building? said Jochen Muller, the College?s CEO.

Qantm is planning a number of open days and events at the new campuses in coming months including ?Study @ Qantm? days in Melbourne and Sydney.
