For those of you who are extra keen to get your hands on Nintendo's Wii (giggle), Nintendo Australia have announced the various locations around Australia that will have midnight launches at the following link. I personally will wait for Santa to sit one under the Christmas tree. Now, just gotta get on the "Nice" list...

Yep, the guy didn't want any money, just the Wii.

Are you alright? Did you get hurt?

That's really sad - I'm sorry to hear about it.

Why a wii? I can sort of understand mugging for a PS3 (even though the Ebay prices flattened out because there were simply too many on offer), but the Wii is already out or will be out in the rest of the world. Wouldn't make sense to scalp it.

I guess they just really wanted a Wii to play :(

It's disheartening to hear that Australia is not safe against the bad launch incidences seen in other countries.

You didn't kick him in the balls? Stck him in the eyeball with your housekeys? Slap him upside the head with the brick in your purse? Follow him home and burn his house down? Damn that sucks. I feel for you. I've heard some bad stories about Melbourne trains. Do they no security at all?
