tsumea Games listing, Developer access, and the tsumea awards are back!

The tsumea Games listing
When we made the big switch to a new content management system from our own developed CMS back in 2007, we lost some website features in the process. From 2002, we had a pretty great local games listing on tsumea which listed all the games that were developed or in development in Australia and New Zealand. The games releases page was a great resource on all the new release titles and upcoming games from local developers.

Unfortunately, as the sole editor and maintainer of that big list, it became an extremely time consuming task adding and updating the list as the local industry grew and the number of games titles exploded. Before the switch over, we had implemented a feature where members who had 'Developer' access could update their games details themselves, however, the games listings and dev's feature fell by the wayside as the task of migrating the old database and site to the new CMS took absolute priority. We've had a fair amount of enquiries about the tsumea games listing and requests to bring it back since it has been gone.

Well, I'm happy to say that the tsumea Games listings and Developer access is back in. As you can see, we only have two games listed at the moment, but they're a good showcase on what media and info can be put on a games page - Whirl'd by Play This! Studios, and Blood Drive by Sidhe.

Developer access
If you are a local games developer, commercial or independent, be sure to give me a yell via the contact form. I'll update your member account to 'Developer access' so you can log in and add, edit, or update your game entries any time you like. All game entries you add will be listed on our games listing page. Games that are added are automatically listed in their developer's profile page on tsumea, so make sure you tag your game correctly!

tsumea awards
The tsumea awards was a time honoured tradition that we had on the site for many, many years. For some reason, we stopped holding them. Don't ask me as I'm not entirely sure why. We're going to have that back for 2011. When developer games are added to our listing, they'll automatically be categorised and listed for voting at the end of the year by the public, so it pays to have your games listed!

We're planning some additional features on the site, however, if you have any questions concerning any of the above, please do shoot me a message or post a comment below. Thanks.
