Glorified RSS aggregator
You know, for a long time, I didn't understand what the whole fuss about Twitter was either. To me, it sounded like a glorified RSS aggregator (filled with people posting about what they just ate etc). I think all the stuff that was happening in Iran and the use of Twitter showcased some of the usefulness it offers in terms of getting a stream of information of stuff you're interested in, and the convenience of retrieving it.
Anyway, try it out, it's not actually that bad :) Just don't follow too many tweeters who post about what they just ate or what they're doing in the next 2 minutes every minute ;)
