AVCon is Adelaide's premier Anime and Video Games Convention. It is a non-for-profit event organised and run by a dedicated group of volunteers, known as Team AVCon. Founded in 2001, the convention has been held annually since 2002. AVCon will continue its traditional balance of recreational and educational gaming with the Indie Games Room. In this section of AVCon, you'll be able to meet some of Adelaide's upcoming game developers and try out their latest projects.
The Indie Games Room allows local game developers to meet the people they're making games for, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This gives them the opportunity to gather useful feedback and get insight that they can only gain through the consumer.
Expresssions of interest for the AVCon 2011 Indie Games Room are currently open.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) for this year’s Indie Games Room (IGR) at Adelaide’s AVCon have now opened for independent game developers across Australia. The Indie Games Room gives indie games developers the chance to showcase their games to thousands of attendee’s at the Adelaide Convention Center as a part of AVCon 2011 (July 23rd-24th).
Developers are encouraged to register their interest in exhibiting their games for the IGR by downloading the info pack and completing the online expression of interest form.
Expressions of interest close on the 18th of April 2011 so get your submissions in and be prepared for your taste of national indie game talent at AVCon 2011.
