New Sydney indie developer, Flat Earth Games, announces first project

Flat Earth Games, a new indie games developer based in Sydney are working on a project which will please any of you who thoroughly enjoyed playing Civilization, Transport Tycoon, or Lightspeed in the 90's. The guys behind Flat Earth Games, Rohan and Leigh Harris, grew up playing those titles and they're planning to bring the exploration and crafting gameplay of those titles back with an added touch of building and strategy to their game mix.

NSW Government announces funding for 20 Digital Media Initiative projects

20 recipients selected to receive funding from the NSW Digital Media Iniative have been announced. The initiative itself was announced in December, last year, with the NSW Government pledging $1.5 million every year for three years (a total of $4.5 million) to support commercial digital content projects with the aim of distribution via internet, wireless, mobile, or any other emerging platforms or devices.

Lead Programmer Positions at Epiphany games

Epiphany games is a new Australian game studio with the aim of becoming the best Australian game company in the market. Our first venture is under way and we will have two positions available early next year for lead programmers, one each to head our client and server programming teams.

Concept Artist for Epiphany Games

Epiphany Games is looking for a concept artist based in Sydney for our project. The position is as a contractor to start and a possibility of a permanent position. We will accept applicants who have little experience should their work be exceptional and they have some experience with computer games (even if they only played some).

Applicants must have some experience in meeting deadlines, creating original art, creating story boards, working from a brief.
