About Hipster Whale

Hipster Whale is an entirely independent Melbourne based studio, founded in 2014 by Matt Hall and Andy Sum. Hipster Whale’s first release, Crossy Road, has been downloaded more than 200 million times and was a truly global hit.

Hipster Whale have since released PAC-MAN 256 in 2015 with Bandai Namco, Disney Crossy Road in 2016 with Disney, and Piffle with Mighty Games Group in 2018.

We are an Australian-owned game development studio, with strong, established relationships with publishers in the US and Europe. We are based in Melbourne’s East, close to public transport with free onsite parking.

We’ve worked on licensed products for Disney, Dreamworks, Sony, Mattel, Nickelodeon, and others. Currently, we’re working on both original and licensed titles in the tactics, RTS, sports and FPS genres.

[JOB] Mid/Senior character animators

Zero One is after a couple of animators to help create cinematics for a AAA title.

We seek experienced Mids and Senior level Character Animators to join us onsite at our studio. Immediate start through to end of October 2019 with the possibility of future work or a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
Create semi-stylised character animation
Ability to work unassisted and relied upon to finish tasks
Be aware of project schedules and be capable of delivering work to deadlines
Ability to follow direction
