3D Animator/Character Modeler

- We are looking for an experienced and talented 3D Animator/Character Modeler to join our Art Team to work on an upcoming next generation PlayStation title. The position involves modeling, texturing and animating realistic human characters. Applicants must have completed at least 1 title on PS2, Xbox or Game Cube or have completed a major film production involving character animation.
- The position is open to residents and applicants in Australian with visas.

Experience Requirements:

- Latest techniques in character modeling
- Strong character animator
- Work progression in stages ? character modeling showing mesh framework, fully-textured and rendered
- A good understanding of topology and excellent texturing and mapping skills
- Advance skeletal set-up and rigging to bring characters to life
- Animation can be rendered in wire-frame but must display diversity of body motions
- Excellent approach to weighting, timing and all major principles including secondary motion and overlapping
- Attention to detail in both action and performances
- Lip-sync and hand gesture animation
- Proficient at working with mo-cap data
- Maya and Motion Builder proficiency is a must
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
