Blue Tongue Entertainment is a video game developer based in Melbourne, Australia. Game Programmer
The Game Programmer is responsible for programming, implementation of technical and game design documents, and completing programming tasks to schedule. This position will report directly to the Lead Programmer.
Position:-
? Develop and code game systems
? Ensure high quality code
? Perform functional testing on their code
? Fix bugs
Requirements:-
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Strong 3D programming skills
? Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent
? Familiarity with latest concepts of real time rendering and AI a huge plus
? Game industry experience
? PS2 systems level experience an advantage
? Strong C and C++ skills
? Solid 3D math skills
Senior Programmer:
The Senior Programmer is responsible for the systems design and programming implementation of technical and game design documents. We currently seek someone familiar with PS2 and GameCube architecture, and who has developed engine code for at least one shipped title. This position will report to the Lead Programmer and the Technical Director.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Position:-
? Researching and implementing new technologies
? Developing reusable system architecture
? Develop and code the more complex game systems
? Assist with forming schedules
? Complete programming tasks in accordance with schedule
? Perform functional testing on their code
? Fix bugs
Requirements:-
? Significant game industry experience with experience in a senior role
? Strong C and C++ skills, 3D math skills
? PS2 and/or GameCube experience is essential
? Familiarity with assembly language is essential
? Showing particular attention to detail
? Being familiar with current games
QA Tester:
The QA Tester will be responsible for the testing of all games. This position will report directly to the QA Manager.
Position:-
? Perform various testing on all game products
? Bug reporting for each product tested
? Test case creation and execution
? Creating builds for testing and delivery
? Very clear and concise communication of all issues
? Assist with execution of focus tests
Requirements:-
Required Skills/Experience:
? QA testing experience a major plus
? Exceptional attention to detail and an eye for quality
? Scripting/Programming experience
? Enthusiasm and knowledge of video games in general
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? TAFE Diploma or University Degree in IT or related discipline
Animator
The Animator is responsible for setting up and animating 3D characters generated by the art department. The successful applicant will be required to create world-class animations for organic and inorganic models. This position will report directly to the Lead Artist.
Position:-
? Produce quality exaggerated and naturalistic character animation
? Rigging and skinning existing models for animation
? Modeling and texturing when necessary
? Lip synching and facial animation for scripted sequences
Requirements:-
? Games industry experience
? Proven animation skills (2 and 4 legged characters) essential
? An ability to create both natural and exaggerated animation
? Expert in Max 7, Character studio (especially biped), Photoshop
? Proven modeling skills and texturing skills preferred
? Knowledge of Maya animation system, a bonus
Sound Engineer
The Sound Engineer is responsible for planning and directing all activities related to sound. This position will report directly to the Director of Design.
Position:-
? Implementation of supplied music tracks
? Implementation of VO tracks
? Edit and mix raw recordings
? Frequent communication with production team
Requirements:-
? Proven experience in similar position
? Sound editing software expertise
? Knowledge of sound hardware
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Relevant degree qualifications
? Game industry experience an advantage
? Enthusiasm and knowledge of video games in general
