3D ARTIST

The 3D Artist will be primarily responsible for creating world-class art assets for use in MyVirtualHome.
MyVirtualHome is a brand new 3D home visualisation program based on a state of the art 3D gaming engine.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Produce art assets according to the standards outlined by the Lead Artist in the project?s style guide maintaining a consistent look and feel.
* Create and edit original high quality 3D models according to the project?s style guide and indicated production procedures.
* Assist in the creation of high quality 2D texture maps for 3D models according to the project?s style guide and indicated production procedures.
* Assist where necessary in the development and maintenance of mesh and texture libraries.
* Participate in application design, the creation of art/technical documents, the production of project overviews and project demonstration.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 2 years industry experience working primarily as a 3D Artist or equivalent required.
* Proven experience and knowledge with 3D Studio Max 6 or higher,
* Photoshop 7 (and relevant plug-ins) required.
* Proven knowledge and experience of art asset production required.
* Proven ability to create and texture high quality 3D models required.
* Understand the current technology as it relates to art production within the real-time 3D industry.
* Ability to work within a team environment required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
* Good written and oral communication skills required.

SENIOR LEVEL DESIGNER

Auran is seeking a Senior Level Designer to design and build multiplayer levels. The ideal candidate will have professional experience designing multiplayer FPS maps and be an avid MMORPG player. The Senior Level Designer reports to the Lead Designer and works closely with the design and art teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILTIES
* Learn and understand the game?s unique combat system
* Develop detailed multiplayer maps that enhance and cater to the combat system
* Create and refine 2D map concepts prior to 3D construction
* Oversee the development and iteration of levels from 2D concept, to 3D prototype, and gameplay testing
* Work with other designers, level builders and scripters to ensure that levels are built and tested in the most efficient manner possible
* Mentor team members
QUALIFICATIONS

* Demonstrable experience creating multiplayer FPS levels with serious attention to
o Time and distance calculations
o Player decision matrix at critical map points
o Variable player motivations and tactics based on character and map states
* Experience building levels with Hammer, Radiant, UnrealEd, or a comparable level creation tool
* A strong love of gaming extending to a substantial knowledge of existing games and the ability to draw from design lessons in those games and apply them to ours
* Strong familiarity with Massively-Multiplayer Online products

GAME SYSTEMS DESIGNER

The Game Systems Designer reports to the Lead designer and works closely with the design and programming teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Developing new game systems specifications as required to support and expand game play
* Maintaining and improving existing game systems and associated system documentation
* Maintain and extend design content within the MS SQL environment
* Learn and use proprietary techniques to balance existing and new game systems
* Additional responsibilities will also be assigned as warranted
QUALIFICATIONS
