Krome doesn't have a studio in France... do they?

Company

In a hands-on preview by Videogamer.com of The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, the third installation of the revitalised Spyro trilogy, the games journalist mentioned Krome's involvement in the game, and even describes visiting Krome's Lyon studio in France. The baffling thing about all this is that The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is in development at another studio called Etranges Libellules and Krome has had no hand in its development, if Wikipedia is to be believed. Oh, and that they don't even have a studio in France.

I've fired off an email to Krome's PR department, but in the meantime, fellow informed tsumeans, you can tell me if the aforementioned preview is correct or not.

I think they have their wires crossed. Krome did do two different Spyro games (and tantalus have done one for DS, i believe).

I'm betting the "games journalist" never set foot inside the studio and based his inaccurate write up on a build sent to him. Either that or he is so pathetically incompetent and didn't even know the name of the studio he was attending and did a Google search later on guessing if Krome did the first two surely they would be doing the third.

I'm sure Krome would be only too glad to take the credit. However, Krome have developed Spyro Trilogy 1 & 2. Etranges Libellules has taken the 3rd in the trilogy to NextGen. Other than the original development of the direction and stylisation, Krome have had no input in DOTD.

It's not called Wikipedia for nothing. And they wonder why journalism gets a bad name!

I wonder if this means Krome are outsourcing the project like they were originally doing with the second spyro they did, or if they just lost the contract.

I personally liked the first Spyro Krome did, second was a bit impossible to play.

that the games journalist is wrong and that Krome aren't working on this title, and they don't have a studio in Lyon, France.

But you all knew that already, right!
