IGN Interviews Pandemics' Christie Cooper

IGN has a Top Ten Developer questionnaire with the one and only Christie Cooper, Business Director at Pandemic Studios in Brisbane. It's great to come across interviews with some of the less well known people in the local games industry (unless I'm totally wrong and everyone knows Christie!), and especially one who is such a pivotal part of the Pandemic team. Christie has had a long history with Pandemic and answers a few things on the Brisbane studio, the teams and the culture at Pandemic, her thoughts on the Australian games industry, what console she is into the most, as well as the business side of things on games...

Christie Cooper: I look at the way a studio is run, rather than individual games - as a business director. It's refreshing to hear when staff members at other companies are genuinely happy where they are. Krome must be doing something right, since they keep growing at ridiculous rates. And they have such a low turnover! THQ are similar - they don't want to have all the flashy mod-cons of the US studios and have such a high burn-out rate.

Christie also offers some advice to those aspiring programmers and artists looking to get their foot in the door of the games industry. Click the following link to head on over to the full interview over at IGN.
