Puzzle Quest dev received death threats, Neopets announced

As reported by Eurogamer, Infinite Interactive CEO, Steve Fawkner, who spoke at the Capcom's Captivate 08 event in Las Vegas announcing their new title, Neopets Puzzle Adventure, let slip that the Melbourne studio received numerous death threats and a bomb threat due to a bug in the PSP version of their hit title, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. The bug, which rendered AI companions useless in battle, got some gamers quite a bit upset. From Eurogamer...

"(Steve) One death threat in 25 years of game development. Puzzle Quest comes out and I had six death threats and one bomb threat...

They were all emails, and I think at least two of them were possibly serious!

They actually left their email addresses on them, so we know who they came from."

Neopets Puzzle Adventure, which is described as "similar to the classic game of Reversi and Go with a unique Neopets spin and combined with many fun mini-games", sounds like another winner for puzzle fans, and you can have a peek at some fresh new screenshots over at Voodoo Extreme here, so check 'em out!
