Story Writer

The Role:
We require a story writer to work on an upcoming game title. We have a thoroughly developed game story and characters. What we require is a writer to create interactive dialogue as mini-stories within a game we are developing at Mode.

This position is only a short term contract. For this contract candidates can work off-site (but must be located and have permission and legal requirements to work within Australia).


We are creating a cutting edge technology that is not far from completion. However there is a slight error with the code which we cannot find. Unfortunately when one person is looking at it constantly, they especially need a fresh set of eyes who is skilled in the same area.

We are looking for a developer that has skill and expertise in the following areas:
Unity 3D - Software
C# language
3D engines
Procedural mesh generation

Creative 3D Character Artist - Immediate Start

Are you a creative and passionate character artists who is keen to bring his or her characters to life in a mobile strategy game that will make global impact? Then this job is for you.

We are working on our mobile strategy game and we are now looking for 3D character artists to join our team and design the game characters (there will be 116 characters to design).

The role:
This position is opened for hiring two 3D character artists to start immediately (we currently have another artist).

Game Art Teacher

The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) is looking for an experienced Game Artist to deliver the Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development (Art & Animation) at our Adelaide campus. Most of the instruction will be in the 1st year curriculum of the Advanced Diploma. There is opportunity to also contribute to AIE’s Foundation certificates and VETiS secondary school programs.


Lead artist

$60,000 - $80,000 salary + five weeks paid annual leave + all the coffee you can handle
Making art (95%) | Talking about video games (5%)

About the role:
It is your responsibility to make sure that games released by Six Foot Kid look amazing.

You will achieve this by working within the development team to create a look for each game. Your extensive experience and artistic talent will not only produce stunning visuals, but will ensure that a high level of artistry will be consistent from the title screen to the closing credits.

Marketing and project coordinator

Location: Adelaide, Australia
$50,000 - $65,000 salary + five weeks paid annual leave + interstate and overseas travel opportunities
Marketing (50%) | Project management (50%)

About the role:
It is your responsibility to make sure games made by Six Foot Kid go out into the world for millions of people to see and enjoy. You will be the games champion across web and social media as you communicate with our audience.

Concept Artist wanted for Two Lives Left

An excellent opportunity has opened up for a Concept Artist to join Two Lives Left and be a part of Crabitron for Xbox One. The successful applicant will work remotely on a contract. Using principles of art and graphic design, responsibilities include creation and design of environments, backgrounds, characters, and color schemes based on ideas presented by creative directors, art directors, and in-house development teams. The Concept Artist must confidently ideate, sketch, color and illustrate at an astonishing level.
