It's official. The figures are in, and the Nintendo Wii has claim of the "fastest selling console in Australian history" title, with 100,000 units sold in six months and two weeks. Gamespot AU reports that it beat the previous record held by the Xbox 360 which had taken roughly seven months to sell the same amount. Hey, it didn't seem that long ago (E3 2005 to be exact) that most people had little hope for the new Nintendo console.
Hey, do you want to hear an interesting story? I bought a Wii before Christmas, and, well, realised that it really wasn't for me. I'm more of an online multiplayer kinda guy, and since games were a bit sparse and online gameplay was still (and is) a bit of a mystery, I thought I'd pop into EB games to see how much they would give me for it. So, a four month old Nintendo Wii, two additional games (Rayman: Raving Rabbits, Zelda: Twilight Princess), an extra wii-mote and extra nun-chuck, all worth an approximate $690, and what did EB games offer to take that off my hands? $350. Almost half price!! Nice one. o_O

yep EB have the worst trade-in prices imaginable.
Try mario strikers, it has decent online multiplayer :P
Hell yer nintendo's back on top

Eb sucks but all the ds hot spots r at there shops. In adelaide they only have two it suck's.
It's the fastest selling console simply because it's the best. While the 360 and the PS3 are more powerful, they've forgotten about the fun factor in gaming. Cooking Mama and Nintendo rules!!!!
Yay. Fourth Post!!!
