Thanking Our Sponsors

Since there's a little bit of quiet time in the news, I thought I'd make a post thanking all our sponsors on Sumea, old and new! I'm sure you've noticed the gradual increase in the number of logos appearing on the right of the page on the site, and I can tell you that the additional support for the site since Micro Forte and Big World Tech came on board as sponsors last April has been overwhelming.

The new sponsors who have kindly supported Sumea are: Qantm, Firemint, Tantalus, Auran, The Academy of Interactive Entertainment, and IR Gurus. That's an addition to Pandemic Studios who are continuing their support for another year! I'm sure you'll agree that the list of sponsors on Sumea are pretty much the who's who of the local game development industry, a list which includes Australia's top two educational institutions, two incredibly talented art and music outsourcing studios, and development studios who are making news internationally with their development of current or next-gen titles, MMORPG work, and handheld games.

I guess it's a perfect time to announce that the Sumea Creative section is now complete (although some additional design work is planned) and is open for service! As the blurb in the announcement part on the main page has said, Sumea Creative is the gateway to the member's journals as well as ALL the jobs on Sumea. In Sumea Creative, you'll find all our members in their creative categories such as programmers, 2D artists etc, their latest journal posts, and pictures uploaded to the site. For those looking for job posts on Sumea, Sumea Creative offers a quick way for you to find the specific job opening you're after.

Also worth mentioning is that Sumea Creative section also provides a list of the creative talent looking for work. So if you're an employer looking for staff, head on over there regularly to see who's available, and for Sumea members, make sure you log in and edit your profile if you are looking for work!

Oh, I almost forgot, we're now accepting members who want to be listed as musicians, designers, and animators. If you're a mapper, modeller, 2D artist, programmer, musician, game designer, or animator, why not register for a Sumea Journal to show off your work?!

So, again, a big thanks to all our sponsors! I'll be continuing to work diligently on improving Sumea even more, particularly in the new Sumea Game section which will be the gateway to all the developers games (and much more) on Sumea!
