Halloween Harry was recently featured in the Apogee Legacy series at the 3D Realms website which celebrates the early titles the publisher was involved with, and it sits amongst games made by renowned industry veterans like Tom Hall and John Romero. John Passfield has written in his Game Musings blog about that little well known game that he wrote over two decades ago, giving some interesting insight into the development behind the first game..
Most people remember the PC version of Harry released by Apogee back in 1993 but the very first game was made on the Microbee computer in 1985...Inspired by Ghostbusters, the game was set in the 21st century and featured Harry, a Ghost Hunter, facing off against all sorts of evil across 13 levels. Essentially it was a platform shooter with some puzzle solving elements - set on a single screen.
