IR Gurus is a local video game developer, and following the success of
Heroes of the Pacific (AGDC Game of the Year), we are expanding. We're
looking for talented windows programmers to join our staff working on
cutting edge flight games, and next-gen technology (Xbox 360, Sony PS3,
Nintendo Wii).

Roles available include the following:

Experienced Tools Programmers

-----------------------------
You will:

- design and implement internal tools which will be used by artists and
designers to author game content
- participate, along with graphics programmers, in the design and
implementation of generative algorithms for efficient authoring of
content
- be responsible for optimising the work flow for designers and artists,
by providing high quality tools and functionality

Successful applicants must have strong windows programming skills, and a
history of working in medium to large team environments. You must have
particularly strong C++ or C# skills. Games industry experience is not
necessarily required, this is a great opportunity to break into the
industry, while contributing with your existing skills.

Senior Games Programmer (Core Engine)

You will:

- design and implement key technology features for a multi-platform
next-gen shared engine
- at times, work at a very low level, directly with the hardware
- research the capabilities of the hardware, and develop techniques for
maximizing performance
- take responsible for critical areas of technology and develop
extremely robust and efficient solutions
- work in a highly multithreaded environment
- write code in C, C++ and assembly

Successful applicants must have extensive games industry experience,
working with recent consoles. You must have considerable engine code,
and working with low-level hardware features. Experience with a next-gen
console is a big plus, and experience developing cross platform engines
is also a plus. You must have extremely strong C++ and software design
skills, and a history of working in medium to large team environments.

Senior Games Programmers (Graphics)

You will:

- design and implement graphics technology for a multi-platform shared
engine
- at times, work at a low level, directly with the hardware
- work in a highly multithreaded environment
- implement procedural/generative algorithms
- work to achieve the visual goals of game artists
- bring creative ideas to the table, including new graphics techniques,
and new uses for old ones

Successful applicants must have an indepth knowledge of modern graphics
techniques and experience writing vertex, geometry and fragment shaders.
Games industry experience is not necessarily required. You must have
particularly strong C++ and software design skills, and a history of
working in medium to large team environments.
