Unreal Engine Level Editor
Perception, based in Sydney, is a self-funded Game Studio in operation since 1995. Perception is currently developing a game based on the hit TV series ?Stargate SG-1?, licensed from MGM Interactive Inc., a unit of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios. We are looking for talented and experienced Unreal Engine Level Editors to join our team in developing top-quality PS2, PC and X-box games. You will be responsible for: creating game levels and maps, integrating the game plays according to the script and considering the fun factor and the immersion of the player, creating small cinematic in real time etc... You will be using assets created by the artists and do not need texturing or modeling skills. You will work under direction of the Lead Level Editor.

Requirements

? A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the video game industry or on community projects as a Level Designer or equivalent;
? Extensive experience of Unreal Engine and 3DStudioMax.
? Technical understanding of game engines
? Demonstrated experience in placing and scripting entities (such as enemies, movers, and objects) to create fun, absorbing game-play.
? A strong artistic and creative sense with the ability to design and build interesting, innovative, exciting and immersive levels in order to give to the player an unforgettable experience;
? Ability to design to given specifications
? Collaborating with Lead Designer to define and refine game-play mechanics
? Ability to produce articulate design documentation detailing innovative game-play mechanics, mission walkthroughs, story lines, character biographies, control systems, and asset inventories.
? A strong and deep video game culture with a good knowledge of the general rules and mechanics of a game play for console and PC games.
? Willing to accept direction, work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks.
? Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
