Bizarre Creations have a strong relationship with Queensland-based 3D vehicle models specialist, Virtual Mechanix. Virtual Mechanix models have appeared in Bizarre Creation's games since 2003 with the release of Project Gotham Racing 2, eight years ago. That's a heck of a long time. Project Gotham Racing 2 was awesome not only because it featured a beautifully rendered track around the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but because it provoked the following comment from State Labor MP Paul Gibson, chairman of the Staysafe Committee, who dearly wanted the game banned...This game sends the wrong message to young people. It is actually glorifying speed and power," Mr Gibson said. "It is clearly an inappropriate depiction of speed behaviour. If I had my way I would ban it...
