Lecturer, Games Design wanted for Griffith University

Job Position: 

The Queensland College of Art (QCA) is located at Griffith University's Brisbane City South Bank campus and the Gold Coast Campus. The Queensland College of Art is part of one of the largest creative and performing arts training and research precincts in Australia and is home to the Queensland Conservatorium, the Queensland College of Art and the Griffith Film School. In this environment, there is increasing interdisciplinary collaboration between the performing and visual arts. 

The Griffith Film School covers bachelor and post-graduate programs in film, television, animation, games design, multi-media, and digital screen media production. In all major study areas students can choose from a broad range of electives to give them experience and skills in their areas of interest. This position will contribute to teaching within the Bachelor of Games Design undergraduate program, supervise research students, and foster a strong profile in research and professional service.

This is a continuing, full time position based at the South Bank campus. 

The role:
This position contributes to the long-term development of the Games Design area within the Griffith Film School. Duties include conducting tutorials, convening courses, script workshops, lectures, seminars; consulting with students, marking; participating in course and curriculum development, and contributing to the research profile of the Griffith Film School. 

The person:
The successful applicant will have a higher degree in a related field of games design with considerable experience in teaching and research in relevant areas of games design along with demonstrated industry experience. 

Salary range:
Lecturer, Level B: $84,227 - $100,023 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $98,547 - $117,027 per annum.
