We are seeking an ICT manager with strong network administration, software engineering, continuous release and testing skills, preferably in a game development environment.
In this position you will primarily be responsible for installing, upgrading, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining the studio network infrastructure. Your input, guidance and technical abilities will also strengthen the long-term development and direction of our studio.
We’re looking for candidates who combine strong IT and programming skills, in-depth engineering experience and quality decision-making capabilities with a passion for games and the ability to work well with others.
You will be working closely with client, server and tool programmers, as well as other disciplines including Art, Design, Production, QA and Product. Your work will also involve overseeing, architecting and implementing game testing technology in concert with our QA team.
Qualifications and Experience:
-5+ years in a Technical leadership role
-High level communication and relationship skills
-Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software products
-Experience with Integration platforms (Jenkins, Unity Cloud Build)
-Familiarity with cloud provider services with working knowledge of compute, storage, networking, and database components
-Windows Server administration experience
-Advanced experience with scripting languages (python, bash, perl, powershell, etc.), infrastructure automation
-Technical knowledge of security best practices across a variety of cloud and on-premise use cases and architectures
-Strong knowledge of IP networking including DNS, load-balancing, and firewalls
-Demonstrated experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, especially Agile programming methodologies
-C-family programming languages (C# and C++)
-Real-time rendering engines (Unity, Unreal Engine)
-Version control and repository management software (Git)
-Success in an entrepreneurial environment, ideally within a high growth technology company
-Experience and passion for rapid prototyping and development in a fast-paced environment
Your responsibilities will include:
-Maintaining our cloud and studio network environments
-Providing administration and oversight into daily operations
-Lead security assessments and development and implementation of remediation plans
-Work with production (project managers), pipeline and development teams to understand business and system requirements and translate them into technical solutions
-Evaluate 3rd party technology and make decisions about developing in-house solutions vs utilizing 3rd party offerings
-Extensive game industry experience, shipped previous cross platform titles. Online game experience a bonus
-Ability to architect complex systems from scratch
-Liaise with our software vendors and distribute licenses in-house to artists as required
