Team Bondi is an independent game development company based in Sydney, Australia. Headed up by Brendan McNamara and featuring a team of seasoned games professionals, Team Bondi will produce next-generation PlayStation titles for Sony Computer Entertainment America.

We are looking for an experienced and talented technical animator to join our Character Team to work on an upcoming next generation PlayStation title.

The position involves supporting the character and animation pipeline with expert knowledge of rigs, MEL scripting, facial setups, and setting up highly detailed in-game characters. Applicants must have previous games production experience with at least one completed PS2, Xbox or Game Cube development, or have completed a major film or TV production.

At this time we can only accept applications from Australians or residents within Australia

* Well designed and efficient character rigs
* The ability to maintain and refine the technical animation pipeline
* A thorough understanding of a motion capture pipeline
* Advanced skeletal set-up and Set Driven Key techniques
* Advanced skinning techniques
* Advanced rigging processs
* Good understanding of animation production and character development issues
* Strong understanding of animators needs
* Strong problem solving skills
* Very thorough attention to detail
* Experience of detailed facial setups
* Maya proficiency is a must preferably with Motion Builder
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
