Based in the cool part of Middle Earth, Media Design School (MDS) is looking to add to its team of industry experts to teach and develop the next generation of 3D specialists and animators.

Media Design School is nationally and internationally recognised for developing creative professionals with the right skills and attitude that allows them to hit the ground running in the digital creative industries that include 3D Animation, Game Development, Visual Effects and Web Design.

We are seeking a talented person with a real passion for 3D Animation who can inspire, develop, teach, and provide direction to capable groups of students as they work to develop their specific industry skills and prepare for their new careers.

The school is industry focused and production based. We are passionate and pride ourselves on the quality of our graduates; ensuring they are 'industry fit' when they finish here.

You will have the relevant tertiary level qualifications and at least 3 years experience in the industry with good knowledge of the following;

• Have experience in some or all of the following:

- Autodesk Maya - required
- Z-Brush - required
- Mudbox
- Nuke
- After Effects
- Renderman
- Massive

This is an interactive position, working with students, industry and other staff. You will be confident, have excellent communication skills, be well organised, have excellent motivational and facilitation skills and be able to inspire those around you with your enthusiasm for this industry and your sense on fun. Experience in teaching would be advantageous but the right person is more important.
