In a follow up to the recent news item on Sumea about the possible banning of Half LIfe 2, I've been given the good news that Half-Life 2 has received an OFLC classification today of MA15+ (High Level Animated Violence).

Wooooooooooooo!
Fantastic news! I knew it would probably get through ok,but it was the not knowing for sure that sucked, the waiting has now become a whole lot easier.roll on nov16!!
Well it is great that HL2 got classified and we will see it in stores, this I never doubted, but this does not mean that we should be happy with our game classification system, or that we should not do anything about it.
BTW: Did it receive a classification because content was "changed" or as I prefer: censored? I remember some talk of this being a possibility, like with GTA Vice City.
This is very good news for us aussies.
Aussie, aussie, aussie oi oi oi
Have Fun playing half life 2
Morphous
I can confirm that no content was altered or 'censored' from the original. The game is the same all around the world.
BTW -- street date is 9am on the 17th Nov in Australia due to the time difference with the US.
I thought we were ahead in time with the US?
Nevermind. I get it now (htis head). It's the 17th here, when it's the 16th there. rofl
