Wanting to tell a story has always been a goal of mine, no matter where I am or what I’m doing. In my view, storytelling is a highly important part of everyday life. Creative arts, no matter the medium, is about telling a story ultimately, whether it comes from an individual or a group. I’ve spent years of my spare time self-teaching myself the skills to tell a story, not just through writing, but through visuals and interaction as well.
I do not have much professional experience in working as a 3D Artist in the industry, but I have volunteered a lot of my time over the past 3 years or so to working on fan projects for games such as Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Both of these games have an immense story-telling potential, and they presented the perfect motivation for me to be more serious about learning the fundamentals of 3D modelling and texture artistry, and since starting out I’ve learned a lot of skills along the way largely on my own time.
