Dreamgate Studios opens doors in Canberra today

Some great news for the local games industry with a new studio opening up today in Canberra. Dreamgate Studios is founded and managed by industry veterans with a combined 40 years of experience, and they are focussing on self funded development and publishing, as well as projects and specialised jobs for industry and non-industry clients. The studio says it will be concentrating on a long term strategy with a strong focus on its employees with a greater company culture and team environment which will hopefully result in lower staff retention rates and keeping valuable staff onboard.

Vicki De Margheriti CEO of Dreamgate Studios...

I see a wealth of opportunity for growth in the Australian game development industry. As CEO of the Academy of Interactive Entertainment I see a huge number of very talented developers graduating each year, hence AIE's new AIE Incubator Program. It is an exciting time in Australia's game development lifecycle and I am happy to be adding to this buzz with Dreamgate Studios, a boutique studio for iOS development, as well as fee for hire development services.

Dreamgate Studios has experienced business leadership and provides an opportunity for developers to join a newly formed studio that is in a great position to meet the online games, virtual worlds and simulation needs of local and international businesses and government.

James Sutherland, Head of Studios for Dreamgate Studios...

As Head of Studios for Dreamgate my primary focus is to build a strong yet flexible team that will allow us to create a culture that is ripe for developing innovative Games, Simulations and Applications regardless of client or platform. I know the talent is out there and I also know there is a huge demand for game industry skills and experience to be used in areas that include Defence, Medicine, Mining and Retail as well as the more obvious iOS, Android, PS3 and Xbox 360 "marketplaces". The challenge as with most things in life is finding the right people to pursue these opportunities, so if anybody is interested I encourage you to drop us a line at careers@dreamgatestudios.com

Dreamgate Studios are hiring for multiple positions, please head on over to the Dreamgate Studios website at the following link...

Nice, its cool to see an start up studio opening :D, hopefully it turns out great because we need more studios. Hopefully you guys will be up there with HalfBrick and Firemint as some of the best IOS/Mobile developers in the world and go even further than that. Good luck on all future projects and hope to see some innovative and great games/products in the future.

Let this be one of the many to come.
