Torus Games is seeking a creative, experienced, dedicated producer to join our established team in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne for a fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities:

    Project management; maintaining and coordinating the production process from project inception to completion
    Developing and maintaining schedules, budgets and processes; working within budgetary restrictions
    Creating and maintaining project documentation
    Working with team leads; overseeing creative and technical game development
    Overseeing project design to ensure reasonable scope
    Interacting with the development team, publishers, management, press and the public
    Promoting positive team morale
    Managing milestone deliverables
    Managing project outsourcing
    Interviewing, reviewing and mentoring new team members in conjunction with HR and management
    Conducting post-mortem reviews


Skills required:

    Excellent communication, written language and organisation skills
    Ability to work within tight deadlines
    Understanding of the video game development process
    Ability to establish positive rapport with team
    Comfortable to work both as a lead and a member of a team
    Flexibility and common sense; able to find working solutions to problems
    Dedication, maturity and great work ethic


Selection Criteria:

    Experience in agile planning
    Experience with project scheduling software, e.g. Hansoft or MS Project
    Experience in project scoping, budgeting, risk management, scheduling and resourcing
    Experience in problem solving and conflict resolution
    Able to manage multiple projects at once
    Production credits on 3 published video game titles


Beneficial:

    Degree in business or project management, or equivalent professional training

Salary is commensurate with skills and experience. This is a full-time, fixed-term position.
