Academia International is seeking a Games Programming professional / Trainer to deliver the Certificate IV to Advanced Diploma in Information Technology majoring in Games Development. You will be part of our IT Faculty supported by our Digital Arts and IT trainers to deliver this two year course in Games Programming. Courseware and assessments have been developed and ready to use.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Competent in C++
  • A working knowledge of both Opengl and Direct X APIs with the accompanying relevant knowledge of HLSL/GLSL Shader languages.
  • A basic understanding of most areas of games (e.g. Graphics, AI,Networking)
  • Minimum of 2 years Software development & testing experience relevant to games industry
  • Ability to develop well written/structured object oriented code
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Excellent spoken and written English

Preferred Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualification and industry experience preferred
  • Certificate IV in TAA or TAE
  • Teaching Experience with a attitude to student care and a dynamic and engaging teaching approach

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Formal theory and tutorial / lab training
  • Mark attendance and assessments as per marking criteria and provide feedback sheets
  • Assisting students with lab and project work
  • Demonstrate awareness of latest trends in the Games Industry
  • Maintain involvement within the Games Industry
