Machine Screen

Machine Screen was my final year exhibition piece for the University of Brighton degree show. It made use of salvaged mechanical parts found in skips and bins along with video feeds, projections and a custom-built electronic interface. The user was able to manipulate the three dimensional form of a screen by operating pneumatic pistons to contort a projection surface. Direct video feeds from the inside mechanics created an infinite visual loop, blending the boundary between the mechanical and the digital.
