Sound Designer/Engineer

We?re looking for a proficient sound designer, preferably with engineering experience and a desire to work in the video games industry. The job mainly involves the selection, design, creation, editing, mixing and integration of sound effects. There is also the possibility of creating musical tracks specifically for games.

Requirements:

Formal training in sound production.

A proven interest in video game audio.

Proficiency with audio tools and technologies.
(Please provide preferences and details of experience.)

A sample of work to demonstrate your suitability for this role.

Ideal Applicant:

2 years or greater experience in original sound effect design, creation, mixing, processing and implementation.

2 years or equivalent video game product development experience.

Formal training in music production.

Familiarity with the audio formats and requirements of DirectX and PS2.

Some experience with text-based scripting languages.

Understanding of audio compression technologies, surround sound formats, audio physics, etc.

Knowledgeable in PC operating systems.
