Position Summary

The QA Technical Analyst will work with the network and online teams to assist in the development, maintenance and effective running of the studio’s automated test suite. The successful applicant will work with game programmers, designers, artists and QA to develop and implement test plans ensuring comprehensive coverage of all game systems. They will assist in the management and administration of a dedicated farm of test consoles in addition to automatic utilisation of development console downtime. The intended outcome of this role is to improve the studio’s defect discovery and tracking.


  • Assist in the development of the unit test suite, integration with nightly and periodic builds.
  • Assist in the development of test plans and individual unit tests.
  • Work with game programmers, designers, artists and QA to ensure appropriate test coverage.
  • Assist in the management and administration of the console test farm and test servers.
  • Develop and manage the generation of defect tracking and unit test reports.
  • Write clean, professional, and maintainable code.
  • Accurately estimate tasks and complete them on time.
  • Communicate effectively with management and peers.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Proven experience programming in C/C++, C#, Python and/or equivalent languages.
  • Development experience on game engine tools and technology, preferably for consoles.
  • Deep understanding of Network concepts (protocols, topologies, NATs, bandwidth, latency, etc).
  • Web development experience.
  • Server administration.
  • Database design and implementation
  • Automated report generation.
  • Solid understanding of statistics, units and high data volumes.
  • QA Engineering experience highly desirable.
  • 3+ years programming on commercial or game products on PC, mobile or console.
  • Gamer.


  • Bachelor degree in computer science (or similar) or equivalent industry experience.
